Before you apply

Your questions,
answered.

Talk to the Labs team

Start with your experience and the company you want to build. Here is what to know about eligibility, enrollment, and participation.

Who should apply?

Scientists, engineers, and technical founders who want to build an AI or deep tech company. We welcome PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, master’s and undergraduate students, and people whose expertise comes from industry or independent work. Show us what you have built, studied, or discovered, and the problem you want to take on.

Can I apply without an idea or cofounder?

Yes. Apply as an individual and tell us about your technical experience and interests. You can request cofounder introductions, explore a problem, or bring an idea you already want to pursue. A company, revenue, and a cofounder are not required.

Is Redko Labs an incubator or an accelerator?

Redko Labs is an incubator for the earliest stages of company building, including before a company exists. The program focuses on team formation, technical validation, prototypes, and customer discovery. Founders with an existing team or product can also apply with a specific milestone they want to reach.

How does rolling enrollment work?

You can apply throughout the year. If there is a fit, we agree on your start date, participation format, and scope of support before you join. The curriculum outlines a proposed twelve-week program; your schedule is confirmed with your offer.

Can I apply while at university?

Yes. Students and researchers can apply while studying or working in a lab. Tell us about your availability and any university, employer, or research obligations. Before commercializing research, you will need to clarify intellectual property ownership, data permissions, and any required approvals.

Does the program include an investment?

The incubator does not include a cash investment. Any future investment would be a separate decision and agreement. If participation includes equity in exchange for services, the offer will specify the support, milestones, ownership basis, and exit terms before you accept. Applying creates no equity or fee commitment.

Can I participate remotely?

You can request remote, hybrid, or in-person participation in your application. Format, location, and any workspace access are confirmed before you join.

How do mentors and investor introductions work?

Redko Labs has a network of 100+ mentors and 7,000+ investors globally. We work with you to identify relevant expertise and potential investor fit, prepare for conversations, and request introductions. Participation does not guarantee a meeting, accelerator admission, or investment.

What startup perks can I access?

Explore our startup perks directory for cloud credits, software offers, and founder tools. It includes direct application programs and offers that require an approved provider partnership. Providers set eligibility and make award decisions. Redko Labs partner offers will be listed once confirmed.
